Hi friends and fans, welcome to my new site!
From my little apartment in this oasis of a neighbourhood, I have trundled through the last year of my life, making some mistakes, loving some wonderment, exploring new continents, and meeting some amazing people. Many reading this have shared and shaped this year with me for that I am so so glad.
I’ve also shared this year with a pen and scraps of paper, a casio keyboard from 1981, a beautiful ukulele made just for me, and various pieces of recording equipment in my little home studio. Thanks to all the forces around me, the Government of this fine country, through a FACTOR grant and an OAC grant gave me financial support to record this snapshot of my life.
This new album has turned out to be a simple love letter to my roots, the great great north where I was brought into this world. A place of life – true life in its harshness, beauty, honesty and perpetual change.
Yup, I have been tossed out the other end of this year with a new CD in hand, and it’s called Vivarium. It’s official birth is coming; the day before my official birth, actually! October 13th at the Drake Underground in Toronto.
It’s with joy that I move along with this new treasure in hand, and I am looking forward to sharing it with you. Stay tuned!
